The Passionate Attachment

America's entanglement with Israel

AP: Never mind those Arab anti-Semitic conspiracy theorists!

with one comment

In an attempt to pooh-pooh credible Egyptian allegations of espionage by American-born IDF veteran Ilan Grapel, one of AP’s typically Israel-centric reporters, Amy Teibel, dismissively writes:

Egypt, like other Arab states, has a long history of blaming internal problems on Israeli saboteurs.

Perhaps that’s because they are aware of the long history of Israeli sabotage in the Arab world. Hasn’t Ms. Teibel heard of the Zionist attacks on Iraqi Jews that preceded Operation Ezra and Nechemia, the Israeli firebombing of U.S. installations in Egypt in the Lavon Affair, or its Operation Trojan framing of Libya for the La Belle Discotheque bombing, to name but a few of the better documented instances?

  1. Miss Teibel might also profitably recall a few instances of Israeli spying and sabotage here in the US. Or hasn’t she been paying attention?
