The Passionate Attachment

America's entanglement with Israel

America’s Anti-Russia Lobby = Israel Lobby + Brzezinski?

In a 2009 paper entitled “Blaming Moscow: The Power of the Anti-Russia Lobby,” Andrei P. Tsygankov, a professor in the departments of international relations and political science at San Francisco State University, identifies the following as some of the more prominent members of “the Lobby” who he argues have had a “baleful influence” on American foreign policy toward Moscow:

Zbigniew Brzezinski, Richard Pipes, Robert Kaplan, Michael Ledeen, John McCain, Randy Scheunemann, Anne Applebaum, Ronald Asmus, Richard Holbrooke, Robert Kagan and William Kristol.

With the exception of Brzezinski, one could be forgiven for thinking that Tsygankov was actually writing about the Israel Lobby. It just goes to show that it’s not just relations with the Arab and Muslim worlds that are skewed by America’s “passionate attachment” to Israel.
