The Passionate Attachment

America's entanglement with Israel

Robert Dreyfuss’ Curious Amnesia on U.S.-Israel Relations

Robert Dreyfuss, writing in The Diplomat, dismisses the possibility of an Israeli hand behind the ludicrous “Iran terror plot”:

Others have suggested that a third power, perhaps Israel, might have had a hidden role in trying to provoke enmity between Iran and the United States, but that too seems absurd: Were it made known, it would be catastrophic for US-Israel relations for decades to come.

Hasn’t he heard of the Lavon Affair, the USS Liberty, or Operation Trojan, to name but a few such Israeli provocations that didn’t seem to dampen America’s passionate attachment to the Jewish state too much?
