And who are they? The Netanyahu government and its echo chamber in U.S. politics and media, the neoconservatives, members of Congress, Newt Gingrich, and Rick Santorum.

  1. “Year 2012 is thus shaping up as a war-or-peace election, with Republicans the war party and Democrats the peace-and-diplomacy party.

And as the months pass between now and November, this will become clear to the nation.

This conclusion of Buchanan’s could not be more mistaken. There is no difference between Dims and Repugs other than style, they work for the very same masters. To support Obama in the HOPE of avoiding yet another war of aggression would be counterproductive. A Santorum in office would be preferable from an anti-war perspective because his style would be more readily opposed.

If Obama is trying to now don the mantle of diplomacy after engaging Iran in just 45 minutes of face to face talks over the first three years of his regime he is only engaging in posturing which will ultimately lead to the same military assault. His intentions are not one iota different from Santorum’s.
